About Me

The Full Story

After years of struggling with unexplained health issues—including chronic idiopathic hives, anxiety, stress-induced hypothyroidism, PMDD, an iron deficiency, and gluten intolerance—I embarked on a journey to uncover the root cause of my symptoms. Despite numerous tests, it wasn’t until I took a GI Map test that I discovered imbalances, including gut dysbiosis and a permeable gut lining. I also endured an incredibly long and challenging withdrawal from EffexorXR, which I had been prescribed to manage my PMDD symptoms, leaving me unable to work. Determined to regain control of my health, I made the difficult decision to leave my stressful lifestyle in downtown Toronto and my career in the wine industry. I returned to my home in Saskatchewan to slow down, focus on my recovery, and study to become a Holistic Nutritionist, eventually launching my business.

During this challenging time, I experienced firsthand the powerful connection between gut health, mental health, and overall wellness. I adopted transformative lifestyle changes, including a whole-food-based diet, which enabled me to lose 70 lbs, come off eight pharmaceuticals, reverse my hypothyroidism and chronic hives, manage my PMDD and anxiety naturally, and restore my iron levels. This profound healing journey ignited a deep passion for holistic health and inspired me to help others uncover the root causes of their health challenges and achieve lasting wellness through nutrition and supplementation.

Today, I guide my clients in addressing the underlying causes of their symptoms, helping them achieve better health by focusing on the critical link between gut health and overall mental and physical well-being.

My Approach

I take a personalized, non-diet approach with every client, focusing on whole, unprocessed foods that are free from additives and preservatives. My expertise lies in gut microbiome research, and supporting those navigating mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and SSRI withdrawal. I also have a deep understanding of endocrine and gut disorders. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with the seasons by choosing local, fresh foods whenever possible. Instead of focusing on restriction, I encourage “adding in” nourishing, balanced options to promote a healthier relationship with food and overall well-being. For me, it’s all about finding a balance that feels sustainable and supportive for each person.
