About Me

The Full Story

After years of struggling with unexplained health issues—including gluten intolerance, chronic idiopathic hives, anxiety, and hypothyroidism—I embarked on a journey to uncover the root cause of my symptoms. Despite undergoing numerous tests, it wasn’t until I took a GI Map test that I discovered gut dysbiosis and a permeable gut lining. These imbalances were linked to long-term SSRI use for PMS management, unknowingly consuming gluten while being intolerant, and multiple rounds of antibiotics. Determined to regain control of my health, I began tapering off the SSRI over eight months using a compounded solution. However, the withdrawal was more severe than I anticipated, and 1.5 years after stopping, I entered a protracted withdrawal phase that lasted a total of five years.

During this challenging time, I experienced firsthand the powerful connection between gut health, mental health, and overall wellness. This led me to make transformative lifestyle changes, including adopting a whole-food-based diet. These changes enabled me to lose 70 lbs, come off eight pharmaceuticals, and ultimately reverse my hypothyroidism and chronic hives while managing my anxiety naturally. This profound healing journey ignited a deep passion for holistic health and inspired me to become a Holistic Nutritionist.

Today, I help others navigate their own health challenges by addressing the root causes of their symptoms. My personal experience, combined with my education and professional expertise, allows me to guide my clients toward better health, focusing on the critical link between gut health and overall mental and physical well-being.

My Approach

I take a personalized, non-diet approach with every client, focusing on whole, unprocessed foods that are free from additives and preservatives. My expertise lies in gut microbiome research, and supporting those navigating mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and SSRI withdrawal. I also have a deep understanding of endocrine and gut disorders. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with the seasons by choosing local, fresh foods whenever possible. Instead of focusing on restriction, I encourage “adding in” nourishing, balanced options to promote a healthier relationship with food and overall well-being. For me, it’s all about finding a balance that feels sustainable and supportive for each person.
